Egg donation & fertility after 40 and 50

Establish the indication, support the patient or couple, and manage the cycle.

Online

Markedly reduced ovarian reserve, repeated failures, advanced age: egg donation is a clinical decision before it is a technique. You learn to establish the indication, and to say what it changes for the chances of pregnancy as well as what it does not. A pregnancy from donated oocytes calls for closer obstetric surveillance, in particular of hypertensive risk.

The discussion is treated as a stage in its own right: what is said, in what order, with whom — the patient alone or the couple — and the time to leave between telling and deciding. The module also works on the questions that come afterwards, about parentage and about what will be said to the child, without offering a single answer.

Running the cycle closes the module: endometrial preparation of the recipient, synchronisation, and, past 50, the medical assessment that must precede any attempt. Sessions are held live on Zoom, on real anonymised records.
